I have been restoring quilts for over five years.  I have a large inventory of vintage fabrics and specialize in scrap quilts made after 1950.  I relate to the quilter of bygone times who had to make due with scraps and old clothing.  Click on any of these pictures and a larger picture will come up.

 Exact Fabric Is Seldom Available:
I appliqué over the damaged areas in a similar fabric to restore the quilt and make it ready for your use and enjoyment.  I do not recommend repair for exceptionally old and valuable quilts.  This can decrease the value of the quilt and be very costly.

Quilts Fade

Older quilts fade and only parts of quilts fade.  I show an example below of on quilt and two parts and how the fabric has changed over time.  This fading is what makes it so difficult to match fabric.
